WHENEVER YOU ARE IN DOUBT, IT IS BEST TO PAUSE. FEW THINGS ARE SO PRESSING THAT THEY CAN NOT WAIT FOR A MOMENT OF BREATH.
We should not judge people by their peak of excellence, but by the distance, they have traveled from the point where they started.
Yoga Therapy utilizes different Yogic tools to help reach your goals. “Yogic tools” can include postures, movement, breathwork, meditation, daily habits/routines and more. Depending on your goals and comfort, we may use one or many of these tools – every client will have a different plan and set of tools offered.
A little about me … I am a mother of a 12- and 20-year-old. I am a 500-hour certified Yoga teacher. I also teach Empowered Self Defense (ESD). I am in my 3rd and final year of an 850-hour Yoga Therapy training with Be The Change Yoga & AlcheMe. I am also training to become a Tibetan Sound Healing practitioner. Before choosing Yoga as my career, I was a visual artist – starting out in traditional drawing and painting, then moving into the animation world where I was a director and designer. I also lived in my Aikido dojo for 5 years and trained for 18.
Since a very young age, I have dreamed of spreading compassion. It was through Yoga that I found my way to live this dream: by offering tools of empowerment to others.
As mentioned, I am in my 3rd and final year of my Yoga therapy certification. This means that I am starting my practicum: 150 hours of meeting with clients, plus more time for mentor reviews, etc. I will be meeting with clients for 6-week periods and ask that you can commit to 1-hour sessions a week, for 6 weeks. My mentor will observe the 1st and either 5th or 6th session.
WHEN YOU ARE INSPIRED BY SOME GREAT PURPOSE, SOME EXTRAORDINARY PROJECT, ALL YOUR THOUGHTS BREAK THEIR BOUNDS. Your mind transcends limitations, your consciousness expands in every direction and you find yourself in a new, great and wonderful world. Dormant forces, faculties, and talents become alive, and you discover yourself to be a greater person by far than you ever dreamed yourself to be.
